Latest Bedroom Designs For Airbnb Created With AI Design

So, I talk a lot about AI interior design on this blog. I’ve shared my thoughts on many AI platforms and where I think AI fits into the design process. In short? AI design is great for sparking ideas and giving direction, especially for DIY projects. But as a final design solution? Not quite there yet. Why? Because AI doesn’t do the legwork. There’s no research, no sourcing, and no human touch behind the design. Read: The Best and Worst Interior Design AI, A Designer’s Review.

That said, a thought occurred to me: AI design might actually be fantastic for Airbnb bedrooms!

Why? Because Airbnb rooms are typically styled to grab your attention, they’re meant to be eye-catching, modern, and universally appealing. The goal is to stand out in a sea of listings. And that’s where AI excels. It generates beautiful, modern, somewhat futuristic renders that are general enough to appeal to the masses. So, it might be a great tool to use for Airbnb bedroom design.

AVOID COSTLY (AND UGLY) DESIGN MISTAKES

The Test Subject: My Airbnb in Montréal

I’m currently staying in an Airbnb in Montréal, as I am taking a hiatus from Toronto (that’s a story for another blog post). Here is my Airbnb bedroom, and it will be our guinea pig. Honestly, it looks like someone just walked into HomeSense, grabbed the first few decor pieces they saw, and called it a day. It’s giving major live-laugh-love/spent the summer partying in Bali vibes. And hey, there’s nothing wrong with that, I am not trying to be rude, however I am a designer and naturally my brain critics every room. So, the room is fine. But is the bedroom the latest and greatest bedroom design that one could create? No.

So, just for fun, I’m going to run this room through a few AI design tools to see how they’d suggest a makeover. The goal isn’t to critique the space, it’s to see how AI might reimagine it with a modern, more curated touch. Can AI Design come up with the latest bedroom design? Let’s find out.

AI Design – Planner5D

So, Planner5D is an AI that I use, and I wrote a whole review about it here. In short, Planner5D is an AI that also has tools for space planning. So, if you are looking for an AI that does MORE than just make photos pretty, Planner5D is my pick. Here is what Planner5D came up with for this room makeover.

AI Design

Now, this feels like an upscale Airbnb bedroom if you ask me. How about another one? Let’s see what else this AI can come up with.

AI Design

Again, a really nice bedroom. In this render, the AI kept the reading chair, which I like. I also really like the artwork.

Overall, a huge improvement. Let’s put another AI design to the test.

AI Design – Homevisualizer

Homevisualizer is an AI that I have featured a few times on my blog, read my full review here. I think this AI is great, and I also have had the chance to work with their team. They gave my readers a promo code for their AI Design, which is DEE15 for 15% off. Anyway, let’s take a look at the two outputs this AI design created.

AI Design

I love how this AI Design kept the exact layout of the room. In terms of this output, yeah, I think it’s really chic. This AI model makes me feel like this is a hip and cool space in New York. Now, let’s look at the second output.

AI Design

Once again, a really nice bedroom. This would certainly catch my eye on Airbnb.

AI Design – Remodel AI App

The Remodel AI App is a user-friendly AI interior design tool that works seamlessly on your phone (iPhone or Android), making it easy to redesign your space on the go. If you’re playing with new ideas, the app offers a convenient and inspiring way to explore possibilities right from your device.

Now, this looks like a hotel! It’s a nice room that looks achievable.

Is AI a Secret Weapon for Airbnb Hosts?

I genuinely think AI interior design tools could be super helpful for Airbnb hosts. If you’re styling a rental, you need to:

  • Appeal to a wide audience
  • Stay on-trend
  • Maximize earning potential with the best interior design

Good Interior Design = More Profit for Airbnb Hosts

People will pay more for a nicer space. This is just facts. In December 2024 I paid a pretty penny to stay at the Hyatt in Cartagena. Why? Well, yes, location, but mostly because I wanted a nice bedroom. The bedroom was spacious, modern and made me feel different, it made me feel fancy. That’s the thing – interiors can make us feel things, and Airbnb hosts are selling experiences and feelings, not just short-term rentals.

Other Great Uses for AI Interior Design

Beyond Airbnb styling, I think AI tools are great for:

  • House hunters: Trying to imagine what a space could look like? AI helps you quickly visualize different possibilities.
  • DIYers on a budget: If you’re not ready to hire a designer but need layout or style inspo, AI is a great place to start.
  • Figuring out your design goals: Maybe you don’t exactly know what style you’re geared towards. Since AI design can quickly change the style of any space, it’s a great tool to use to determine your own design style.

Bringing Design to Life (In Real Life)

So, yes, AI design can absolutely help you visualize the potential of a bedroom. And it might be able to show you the latest bedroom design. It can take a bland, uninspired space and reimagine it into something stylish, modern, and full of personality. But once your imagination has been sparked… what’s next?

How do you take that dreamy AI-generated render and turn it into something tangible?

Well, this is the part where things shift from fantasy to function. You have two options:

  1. Work with a designer (like me!)
This is where a professional steps in to take the vision and make it actually happen. From sourcing real products to space planning, budgeting, and tailoring the design to your lifestyle, this is where the magic becomes reality. I take your AI inspiration and turn it into a space that’s not just beautiful but functional and livable.
  2. DIY it
Or, if you’re more of a hands-on type, you can absolutely pull up your bootstraps and bring it to life yourself. Use the AI render as a roadmap, make a list of what you love about it, track down similar pieces, and pay attention to things like scale, layout, and lighting. It takes more legwork, but it’s totally doable with a bit of patience and planning.

Just remember: AI gives you the vision and is a great first step, but there’s more to be done to get the latest bedroom design to life.
